  1. SchwarzWald is a Type 1 Postscript Display Font that is extremely bold and 
  2. striking, resembling the letters of a German woodcut.  It's dedicated to 
  3. Glummie, whose lettering it emulates (but doesn't equal!).

  5. You are welcome to install SchwarzWald, just drag the files SchwaWal and 
  6. SchwarzWald.AFM into your system folder, and use the Font/DA mover (or 
  7. Suitcase II etc.) to install the file SchwarzWald.bitmap into your system 
  8. file.  Take a look at it, print some out, have fun with it.

  10. SchwarzWald is being distributed as SHAREWARE.  This allows you to try it 
  11. out before you decide whether it's worth keeping.  If you keep it and use 
  12. it, The Author (that's me) requests that you pay him $10 by check or money 
  13. order in US funds.  If you are using it for commercial purposes, please pay 
  14. $25.  When I receive and cash your check, you are granted a license to use 
  15. SchwarzWald (the Author maintains the copyright).  If you don't like it, or 
  16. don't feel it's worth $10 to you, drag it into the trash, or let your 
  17. friends & associates take a look instead.

  19. You are free to distribute & upload SchwarzWald, provided that you keep all 
  20. of these files (especially this one!) TOGETHER, ABSOLUTELY UNALTERED. 
  21. Please don't sell SchwarzWald or use it as an incentive to sell something 
  22. else.

  24. If you feel too lazy/cheap/busy to send me a check, imagine how long it 
  25. takes to make and refine a typeface, drawn completely de novo (i.e. without 
  26. another typeface as a template).  Think how much you would have paid for a 
  27. font like this retail. The more people respond favorably, the more 
  28. incentive I'll have to make new and better typefaces, and support the one's 
  29. I've made.  The shareware concept works, making better computing for all of 
  30. us.  Thank you for your support, and enjoy the Font!

  41. licensing & registration, materials, postage & handling.  Above is a chunky 
  42. bitmap rendition of some of the special characters included.  EPS 'Art', 
  43. for custom-tailoring the font, and a wide variety of bitmap sizes also 
  44. included.  Please specify that you want The "SCHWARZWALD FULL CHARACTER 
  45. SET" with your check, and since I'm a one-man operation, allow me some time 
  46. to get it out to you. (Start screaming at eight weeks)  Other fonts are 
  47. available as well, please ask for samples.
